โœจ Highlights

  • Started therapy ๐Ÿ˜Œ
  • Went to a pots and pints evening with a friend and tried ceramics for the first time!
  • Helped run a hackathon at work to teach a group of kids the basics of coding ๐Ÿ’›
  • Saw a bunch of web friends and learnt a lot at State of the Browser
  • My family came over and we took my nephews to Alton Towers for the first time ๐ŸŽข
  • Went to a Lindy Hop social and danced for the first since before covid, it was lovely!

๐ŸŽฎ Played/Read/Watched

  • The Anxious Person's Guide to Non-Monogamy: this was a really approachable and pragmatic read about the realities of non-monogamy.
  • Uncharted 2
  • Uncharted 3
  • The Banshees of Inisherin: I really enjoyed this, but from the trailer I got mostly comedy vibes, and I found the actual film mostly sad. Was still really good, though.
  • Uncharted 4: after playing 1, 2 and 3, which were largely the same, 4 felt really new and fun, I enjoyed it!
  • Portrait of a Lady on Fire: had been on my list for a while, was a great watch.
  • Deathloop: I was drawn to this because the premise seems really cool, but I found the complexity ramp up a bit steep, it feels like a lot all at once. But weโ€™ll persist.
  • Decision to Leave: I saw the trailer for this last month and decided to catch it when it premiered. It was really good, would highly recommend it.

๐Ÿ“ธ Pics

Collage of pictures from October: the back of Juno's head as he looks onto a lake, you can see his rainbow bow tie; Sophie Koonin speaking on stage at State of the Browser, the slide on screen has a pink wordart of the word wordart; a plate of pancakes with mascarpone, strawberry compote and toasted hazelnuts; a selfie of me at the rollercoaster restaurant, with an intense blue light; a dodgey ceramic mask of jigsaw from the saw series of films; a bell pepper looking ceramic pumpkin; my nephews at the rollercoaster restaurant, with an intense red light; my sister, younger nephew and I in the cable car at alton towers, enjoying the sunshine.
