🎮 Played/Read/Watched
- Shrinking season 2: fun, feel good TV.
- Four Thousand Weeks by Oliver Burkeman: this book is SO GOOD. I cannot recommend it enough. As someone that got tired of feeling perpetually behind in life and started to think about what I want to do, this was a really great reset.
- Hamnet by Maggie O’Farrel: so well written, and so sad 😭
- Abbott Elementary S4: still fun!
- Sanctuary - Margaret Qualley can do no wrong, swear to god.
- The Substance - it was fun and weird and different, i liked it
- Couples Therapy series 4: Orna does it again!
- The Discreet Charm of the Bourgeoisie: I liked it, but didn’t love it, tbh.
- Alone Star State: Wim Wenders on the deep impact of Paris, Texas at 40
- The Day of the Beast: This was a fun watch, but not remarkable.
- It’s Lonely at the Centre of the Earth by Zoe Thorogood: this comic is excellent! She does such a good job of communicating emotions through the format and by breaking it, really worth a read.
- Memories of Murder: I loved this one a lot, a great story, and a surprising number of flying kicks.
- James Acaster: Hecklers Welcome
- Work Won’t Love You Back by Sarah Jaffe: I started listening to the audiobook of this one and while it was making great points, I was finding it really depressing. So I didn’t finish it.
- When Harry Met Sally: I’ve never seen this one before and it was pretty good. I can see why people like it.
- Ghost in the Shell: This was really great. Watching it now, it’s so clear how much it inspired over the years.
- Ethical Web Principles - W3C Statement
- My Personal Experience with RSI - Josh Comeau
- Ali Wong: Single Lady
- Basic Sanitation, the Movie: I watched this with my mum and it was really, really fun. A lot of great actors doing a really good comedy.
- Chinese Take-Away: My mum really likes this one. It’s a nice feel good story and it stars Ricardo Darín.
- Rock in Rio: The History: My mum recommended me this one, so we watched it together.
- Little Miss Sunshine: Another rec from my mom. It was nice.
- The Heist of the Century: This is really good. The heist was so clever, made it a really fun watch.
- In Bruges: Those two are so good together!!
- The Weasel’s Tale: It was fine.
- Casual Viewing by Will Tavlin
- Underground: This is one of my favorite movies ever. It is so, so good. I’ve been watching it with my family since I was a kid and it was really nice to watch it again and see it holds up.
